The Super Duper Washing Machine

If Superman had to use a washing machine, it would definitely be the Samsung’s WF337. To know why…read on!
The Samsung WF337 washing machine has a vibration reduction technology that utilizes stainless steel balls to offset the effects of vibration and virtually creates a vibration free performance. Even with spin speeds reaching 1,300 revolutions per minute, this washing machine is silent. Sigh…heaven! The 3.8 cubic foot front load washer is ergonomically designed with a control panel inclined at ten degrees thus offering a better view. What’s more, the washer has 12 washing cycle some of which are Heavy Duty, Normal, Whites, Wool, Hand Wash Delicates, Perm Press and more!. These machines have been tested and have met the required Woolmark specifications (woohoo!). So, the most delicate and hand-wash-only pieces can also be washed safely. This machine also has Samsung’s patented SilverCare technology which generates silver ions to remove bacteria and fungus thus protecting your clothes and your washing machine against odours.

WM 16 S 74 B washing machine

he black, high-gloss surface contrasts with the aluminium-look operating controls to give the WM 16 S 74 B washing machine an elegant touch and a high-quality appearance. It highlights the solid and exceptional character of this series of laundry care units. The washing machine is provided with sophisticated technical features and a variety of programmes, an automatic stain option and optimised washing technology. Its operation is clear and easy – also via an LCD dialogue display menu – in the desired language and a generously sized door opening ensures optimum loading.

Silver technology latest in washing machines

New technology is being incorporated into washing machine technology, with the latest using silver ions to improve cleaning power.

Samsung released a SilverCare washing machine, which puts 400 silver ions in cold water to help clean clothes, reports the Associated Press.

The technology uses the reaction between the silver plate inside the machine and the ions to kill 650 types of bacteria, which can last for up to 30 days.

A Consumer Reports test suggested that the technology may stop the growth of odour-growing bacteria, but said that risks involve harming sea life with wastewater, reports the news organisation.

Samsung is currently trying to convince regulatory agencies otherwise following research by the company.

In the same Consumer Reports review the LG Tromm Steamwasher front loading machine came top of the washing machines, with it boasting a 1,200 rpm spin speed and a digital display screen.

Other Miele, Whirlpool and Kenmore models came highly rated.

Consumer Reports advised consumers to choose their washing machine "with care", saying that sometimes options like steam cleaning are not worth the extra money.

How Espresso Machines Work

Espresso consumption in the United States has grown tremendously in the last decade or two. In Seattle, Washington, you can't walk more than a couple of blocks without seeing a cafe or espresso cart -- they're in bookstores, grocery stores, laundromats, gas stations and movie theaters. There are drive-through espresso shops in parking lots. Sometimes an espresso cart will just park on the sidewalk, like the hot-dog vendors in New York City.

People have been buying espresso machines for their homes, too. These machines are smaller than the commercial machines found in cafes, but they work on the same principles. In this article, we'll learn how these household espresso machines work. But first, let's see what espresso is.

Custom Packaging Machinery

If your wrapping requirement does not fit within the specification of any of the machines in the Marden Edwards range then it is possible to custom design the machine to your precise application.

In addition to designing bespoke handling systems to convey the product to and from the overwrapping machine, the Marden Edwards design team is frequently required to design new overwrapping machines to wrap pack sizes that fall outside the range of existing packaging machinery. The increasing demand for retail multipacks is driving custom packaging machinery design in both the Tobacco and Food industries to enable the overwrapping of a wide product range of large packs in both film and uncoated paper.

“Buy one get one free” offers in the Pharmaceutical and Paper industries has led Marden Edwards to design custom machines for the versatile feeding, loading and wrapping of dissimilar shaped products. Often product is accepted from more than one source before being collated and overwrapped.

In the Cosmetic and Perfumes industry, the desire for product differentiation through custom packaging has led to unique pack designs. For example, Marden Edwards has supplied custom designed attachments to overwrap rhomboid shaped packs on existing machines.

Other custom designs have included packaging machines for naked cake and nougat bars, paper products loosely wrapped with paper and sealed by a label and irregularly shaped products sitting on a cardboard U card. Marden Edwards invites you to tell us about your custom packaging machinery requirement so that we can help you find a solution.

Bespoke Packaging Machines

When an inquiry is received for a completely new style of packaging machine, either for wrapping or another packaging application, Marden Edwards engineers can design a completely new piece of bespoke machinery suitable for the task.

With over 45 years of design and manufacturing experience Marden Edwards is able to produce bespoke machinery for almost any application. Via our own design team and in conjunction with our trusted partners, bespoke packaging machines can be produced that are either incorporated into a turn key wrapping solution or are simply supplied as stand alone pieces of equipment.

Previous bespoke machines have included in-line buffer storage systems, random feed bank note collating and banding equipment, casepacking and waste product reclamation machinery.

If Marden Edwards cannot be of assistance directly then we can put you in touch with one of our trusted partner companies, such as ITCM, to provide a solution to your special purpose machinery requirements.
